Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer mobile services?

I am not a mobile groomer. I accept clients in my comfortable salon in Oak Cliff. I do accasionally offer home visits for special circumstances, which requires a space to bathe and set up a table in the home.  There is an additional home visit fee depending on the location. Please contact me directly if you'd like to discuss a home visit.

Do you treat fleas and ticks?

Preventative flea treatment is my best recommendation for your pet. Fleas and ticks take extra time and require careful handling in order to keep them from spreading in my salon and infesting other clients. While I  do offer a flea and tick treatment, I need to know ahead of time in order to prepare. I will bathe with a special shampoo that kills live bugs, eggs, and larvae, and I will remove them from the body. This is not a preventative treatment, so if you have fleas or ticks in your home or yard, they will get reinfested.

If a pet arrives at the shop with live fleas or ticks, I may refuse service or charge a mandatory $30 to treat them if necessary.

What if my pet is matted?

It is always difficult to determine the severity of matting until the pet arrives for service. Since matting varies in severity, there is also variation in options for the haircut. If not severe, we can usually save the coat and get the mats out. When the matting is  close to the skin or all over the body, we may need to clip the coat down rather than attempt to comb out the matting, which is very uncomfortable and sometimes painful for the dog. Matting fees apply at $20 per additional half hour for removal, whether combed or clipped.

Do you keep my pet all day like other groomers?

NO! I only have your pet for the time of service, which is usually 1-2 hours. Since I work mostly one-on-one, I do not need to kennel your pet for long or sometimes not at all. Contact between clients in usually limited to pick up and drop off which can overlap. In these cases I may use kennels for safety.

Do you accept same-day appointments?

The cut-off for online bookings is 24 hours ahead of time, so if you are looking for a same day appointment you can call or text me to check the schedule.

Do you groom large dogs over 80lbs?

I can book extra large dogs on a case by case basis. The dog must be well behaved and able to hop up onto the grooming table. Since I work alone this is necessary to ensure a safe service for me and the dog

Do you groom seniors or pets with special needs?

Yes! I will do my best to accommodate any special needs. My salon is a peaceful place for nervous dogs and cats, seniors, and pets with disabilities. Please contact me to discuss if needed.
